Radon Mitigation
Radon testing made easy.
If your Radon results came back higher than 4.0 pCi/L, then the EPA suggests you have the home mitigated.
In layman’s terms this means there is a elevated level of Radon. There are many ways to mitigate the home, but it normally requires a remediation system which includes piping from the foundation leading outside the home and up the side to the eave of the roof. A specific Radon fan is attached and creates the suction in the tube to pull any Radon from under the foundation to be dispersed into the outside air.
Many newer homes already have a passive system installed by the builder; however, they are not working systems. These systems need to be activated in order for the Radon presence to be reduced.
Not all homes are the same, so not every remediation system is like another. The cost depends on variables, such as the layout of the home, foundation type, size, etc.
